Lancer Evo X

Mitsubishi is has just released the Lancer Evo X FQ-400 (fucking quick - 405 horsepower, as I like to call it). The car is developed by Mitsubishi UK and AD Motorsport which is claimed to be the fasted and most expensive Evo to this day.

It sports the same 2.00 liter 4 cylinder turbo engine which is boosed and a reprogrammed ECU. This new beast is said to have a whooping 405 horsepower (finalized HP number by Mitsubishi them-self).

The Evo X will come only in Manual transmission and supposed to be easier to drive the Evo VIII FQ-400.

EVO X FQ-400 Specs:

• 405HP
• Approx. 400 Torque
• 0-60 in 3.5 seconds
• New Bodykit
• New Hood
• New Exhaust which is coming out of the middle of the rear bumper
• Upgraded 6 pot calipers in the front
• New 18inch rims

Mitsubishi UK is planning on producing 100 of these models and plans to release more if there is demand. The bad news is that is only available in the UK and cost between 45k-50k pounds.

The good news is that if Mitsu UK is comfortable releasing a moded car into the general production then that means the Evo X should be able to handle that horsepower. So Lancer Evo X owners can throw on some bolt-ons (cat back exhaust, ipper and lower intercooler piping, new intake, turbo manifold, test pipe and high flow cat), remap the ECU, and do a few other upgrades to get that horsepower. Which in the US if done by RRE is under $5000.
